Merry Christmas! Now we go to Spain.

We had a relaxing Christmas at Westfield. Although it goes without saying that we missed our families and friends a ton, it was nice to have a simple celebration with a church in the backyard. The word made flesh has come to dwell among us. Amen.
Thank you all for the nifty gifts and cards!!
We leave for our second of four trips in less then two days. We are downloading essential music for our trip and packing two weeks into two small backpacks. Very excited about it all and very glad to have finished working for a bit. Sweets are not so sweet during the holidays... nuf said.

Lots of snow tonight.

London Again

We went to London again.
We rode our bikes to the station and rode the train to the city. It was snowing today. We rode the tube to The National Gallery and did an audio tour of paintings on the life of Christ. Things by Botticelli, Titian, Raphael, El Greco and Rembrandt.
We then went to Leicester Square to see if there were any plays that tickled our fancy, but eventually decided not to attend the theater that particular evening.
We ate Belgian food and drank Belgian beers at Belgo Centraal. Tasty and yummy.
Then we went to http://www.harrods.com/harrodsstore/experience. It was overwhelming.
Then we went to the Lamb Pub. It was nice. We had Young's Winter Warmer.
Then we went home.

We rode the train to London/Liverpool St Station. We walked through the City banking district to the Millenium Bridge. We looked at St Paul's Cathedral, Tower Bridge and went to the Tate Modern art museum. We ate roasted sugar peanuts then we drank a pint of Sam Smith at Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese Inn. We walked to Covent Garden and Leicester Square and Soho and had some sushi. Then we went to the National Portrait Gallery and Trafalgar Square. We looked at 10 Downing St. and Westminster Abbey and Big Ben and the buildings of Parliment. We rode the tube to Temple and had a pint at the Old Bank. Then we ate McDonalds fries and rode the tube to the train station and rode the train to cambridge and rode our bikes home and watched TV and ate cheese and crackers.

Trip

It is not Christmas yet, but we are eagerly anticipating our upcoming trip (Dec 28-Jan 12). The agenda is Portugal: Faro, Salema, Lisbon. Spain: Sevilla, Tarifa, Arcos de la Frontera, Ronda, Cadiz. and Morocco: Tangier, Chefchaouen, Asilah, and Fes.
